Rock the Crock: Bringing Families Back to the Table

At Angels of Action, we believe that something truly special happens when families gather around the table. That’s why we’ve partnered with Great Start Collaborative, Corewell Health, and MSU Extension to continue bringing Rock the Crock to families in Mecosta & Osceola Counties—because mealtime isn’t just about food; it’s about connection, learning, and love.

Rock the Crock is an ongoing program designed to help families create meaningful moments together. Each week, participating families receive ingredients, menus, and instructional videos to prepare delicious, home-cooked meals in a slow cooker. But this program is about so much more than cooking—it’s about strengthening family bonds, fostering communication, and creating a space where children feel seen, heard, and valued.

Thanks to ongoing community partnerships that fund this program, families who join Rock the Crock receive:

A brand-new crockpot

Essential cooking and kitchen utensils

A recipe binder filled with family-friendly meals

And the best part? Our incredible volunteers personally load and deliver these crockpot meal kits every week, ensuring that families not only receive the ingredients they need but also the encouragement and support that come with them.
